MDF/ HDF

Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is a highly smooth, high-quality board with an even density throughout the whole panel and no “natural faults” such as knots that may be found in other panel materials.

Its main advantages as a board are that it is simple to manufacture and easy to laminate or veneer onto. As a result, MDF has frequently replaced real wood in a variety of building and furniture-related applications.

High Density Fibreboard is made in the same way, but it includes more wood fiber per cubic meter. It is typically linked with thinner thicknesses and is frequently utilized as a core component in laminate flooring.
